Owing to its 15 years of experience, Xtreme Polishing Systems offer promises to help you at getting rid of old, dusty looking flooring and creating a new shiny surface all over. We make sure to remove bumps, graffiti, worn coatings, etc. off the concrete and make it shine again. By using the variety of power concrete grinders we grind down the concrete to the desired level of shine.

We start with examining the surface for holes or cracks that needs to be patched. The holes are filled with concrete patch compounds or concrete epoxies almost twenty four or forty eight hours before grinding the concrete.

We may use either of grinding: dry or wet. The dry grinders use a vacuum to suck the dust off the floor whereas the wet grinders implement water whilst the discs rotate. The latter one results in more mess but reduces the friction. However, we usually use the dry method first and then the wet method to provide a high sheen to the floors.

Grinders used for grinding the concrete are fitted with different grit diamond abrasives. The grit level is increased from coarser 30, 80 and 50 grit discs to the finer 100, 400 and 800 grit discs. The grit level can be increased up to 3000 grit discs for providing ultra-swank luster to concrete.

The procedure is started with coarser grits to get rid of small holes or lighter stains and then is carried upon with finer grits for more smoothing. The coarser grit is made up to three or four rounds for making the concrete ready for fine polishing.

The finer grits will result in ultra smooth and polished concrete surfaces.

To prevent the floors from attracting dust and becoming rough again good quality concrete hardeners are applied to the surfaces.

For grinding the new concrete surface, we may wait for not less than a month to let it dry completely and cured properly.
